What Shelfgrade does
Shelfgrade audits your product feed, your site's crawler access, and your product pages' structured data against publicly documented requirements of AI shopping surfaces (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google/Gemini), and generates corrected files and reports. Audit rules cite the vendor documentation they derive from and are re-verified on a weekly cadence. Citation monitoring runs your configured queries against those surfaces' official APIs on a weekly schedule and records whether your domain is cited — the APIs are documented proxies for the consumer surfaces (same retrieval layer), not the consumer apps themselves.
What Shelfgrade doesn't promise
We audit against vendors' published requirements; we do not control and cannot guarantee inclusion, ranking, or citation in any AI surface. Vendor specifications change; findings reflect the rules as last verified (each finding links its source). Corrected feeds and JSON-LD are generated mechanically from your data — review before deploying to production.
Purchases
Single audits and audit packs are one-time purchases pooled in your team workspace; each purchased audit includes one free re-audit within 30 days. The Agency Plan and Citation Monitoring are monthly subscriptions billed in advance. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details. If an audit fails to complete, your allowance is not consumed.
Refund policy
One-time purchases (single audits and packs): refundable in full within 14 days of purchase if no audits from the purchase have been run, and refundable for the unused portion within 14 days otherwise; a refund revokes the remaining allowance from that purchase. Completed audits are non-refundable — the deliverables (report and corrected files) are yours on completion. Subscriptions (Agency Plan, Citation Monitoring): cancel anytime from your account's billing portal; cancellation stops future charges and your plan stays active through the period already paid. If your first subscription charge was a mistake, contact us within 14 days and we'll refund it provided the plan's allowance hasn't been used. To request any refund, email support@shelfgrade.ai from a workspace member address with the purchase in question; we respond within 2 business days and issue approved refunds to the original payment method. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Your responsibilities
Only audit stores and domains you own or are authorized to work on. Feed data you upload must be yours to share. Don't attempt to scan private, internal, or third-party infrastructure.
Accounts and teams
Sign-in is by email link. Workspace owners can invite and remove members; members share the workspace's audits and purchase allowance. Shareable report links are intentionally accessible to anyone holding the link — share them deliberately.
Suspension and changes
We may suspend accounts that scan infrastructure they aren't authorized to audit, abuse the service, or attempt to circumvent purchase limits. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced to workspace owners by email, and continued use after a change means acceptance.
Liability
Shelfgrade is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost profits or lost sales attributed to AI-surface visibility), and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding a claim.
